History of the Kenilworth FestivalThe Kenilworth Festival had been an annual community event in the town for decades and was resurrected in 2005. In 2008, the Kenilworth Rotary Club chose to support the event and have helped to secure its future. We plan to continue the Festival for many years to come, but we’re always in need of volunteers to help before, during and after! If you can offer any time or services to the Festival, we’d love to hear from you. The 2011 Kenilworth Festival is set to be bigger and better than ever before. Events have been organised to cater for people of all ages – whether you are a fan of music, drama, sport, food or arts and crafts there will be something for you. Check out the programme. The vast majority of our events are totally free of charge and we encourage you to bring along your family and friends and support our programme. Some of the larger events are ticketed and we strongly recommend that you purchase tickets in advance, as demand is high. Tickets can be purchased online or from Kenilworth Books in Talisman Square. Please see event information for appropriate arrangements. We kick off the 2011 Festival on Saturday 7th May with a Grand Launch staged at Abbey End in Kenilworth. Come along and hear some live music, find out more about the Festival week and meet our mascot, Kenny Bear. The fun starts at 10.00 am. |
