One of the most popular events is the centre stage in Abbey Fields, which plays host to a range of bands and musical performances to delight people of all age ranges. The MAD Museum (Mechanical Art & Design) is the lifelong dream of local entrepreneur Richard Simmons, with his son Iain and nephew Mike Abbotts bringing the project to fruition. The venue, based on Sheep Street , Stratford upon Avion, will offer visitors an amazing collection of moving art and machines, which are mechanical, electrical, exciting, weird and wonderful! The official name of this genre of art is Kinetic Art, Steam Punk and Automata but for the uninitiated its rolling ball machines, cog, pulleys and metal dinosaur heads!
